Dr. Walton is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families. Dr. Walton received her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, an APA accredited clinical psychology programme.
She is experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a range of neurodevelopmental and psychological concerns.
Dr. Walton is experienced in providing evidence based culturally attuned treatment to children, adolescents, and families to address difficulties related to mood and anxiety disorders, behavioral issues, social challenges, and tic disorders. Additionally, she has experience providing therapeutic intervention to adults with chronic mental health difficulties, such as affective and thought disorders, post-traumatic stress, and personality disorders.
Dr. Walton provides individual and family psychotherapy, and when appropriate works closely with physicians, teachers/schools, and the community to achieve the best treatment outcomes for her clients.
Her research interests are in gender, sexual orientation and race on clinician’s diagnostic judgement in mental health.
