Ciarra Jeffries

BSc, RBT
Senior Behaviour Technician

Ciarra Jeffries is a certified Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) who recently joined the Developmental Support Services at the Wellness Centre. As an RBT, she is responsible for providing 1:1 therapeutic support focusing on teaching adaptive skills and reducing problem behaviour to enhance children’s quality of life.

As a young Caymanian, Ciarra has always been passionate about working with children and making a difference in her community. During high school, she volunteered at the YMCA as a Counsellor in Training (CIT), joined Key Club, served as a Senior Prefect and was on the Student Council.

Ciarra was the first Caymanian to receive a scholarship at the Oxford Royale Academy for Global Leadership and in the summer of 2019, Ciarra interned at the Department of Children & Family Services. These experiences solidified Ciarra’s passion to pursue a career which enabled her to give back to her community and strive to provide opportunities for children in need.

Ciarra received two undergraduate scholarships from the CI Government and the National Children’s Voluntary Organisation to undergo a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Studies at the University of Bristol. At university, Ciarra found a particular interest in early intervention and play therapy. For Ciarra, the small victories are just as rewarding as the big ones and watching her clients become more independent and self-sufficient is the biggest success.
