Behaviour Technician
Nokasy is embarking on her journey at The Wellness Centre working as an International Behaviour Technician (IBT), where she is gaining hands on experience and expanding her skills in the field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
Her passion for and child development began in high school, where she took leadership roles in initiatives such as Key Leader and Vacation Bible School (VBS). One of her most impactful experiences was with the Red Cross’ It is Not Your Fault program, where she had the opportunity to educate students at John Gray and Clifton Hunter High School on the various manifestations of abuse. This early exposure to advocacy and education deepened her interest in psychology, which continued to grow throughout university.
Raised in the Cayman Islands, Nokasy is committed to reshaping the conversation around mental health and developmental disorders in the Caribbean. She is passionate about fostering greater understanding and support for individuals with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, recognizing how increased awareness and education can empower individuals and strengthen their support systems.
